Are reasoning is the following:

1. There is already significant traffic congestion in the area of First St. and Bernal, so much so that the City has already
approved a redesign of the intersection that will begin in June of 2022 at a total cost of approximately $5.5. If this site
were approved it would make the redesign obsolete not to mention bring into question the logic behind spending $5.5M
that might have to be redesigned yet again. One final point is that there is currently significant cut through traffic in
Pleasanton Hills and around second street. The addition of 204‐254 homes would only add to that issue.

2. Building 204 to 250 units in a 10 acre site would not match the neighborhoods to the north, south and east of this
proposed site. This would make the area look like it was not properly planned out and designed. The neighborhood
directly north of this proposed site is a named historical neighborhood in Pleasanton.

3. The biggest issue we have is the cost of relocating the School District Administration Offices, Village HS and the other
education programs that currently reside on that location. Additionally there is a sports field and play ground that need
to be accounted for in the design. The cost of land, architecture and construction would be astronomical and not a good
use of public money. We need to invest schools district money in students and not administration.
