The current proposal for the Tri-Valley Inn site is 50 units. The site is 2.47acres.
This equates to roughly 20 units/acre, more than 3x the upper limit of the
General Plan’s medium-density residential allowance.
We submit to the Commission that this type of expansion (far in excess of
Pleasanton’s current requirements) is not a fit with the community and
neighborhood that Tri-Valley is apart of, and significantly degrades the
quality of living for those properties and neighborhoods with which it shares
property lines.
If Tri-Valley needs to remain on the list, we ask that it be reclassified as low or
low/medium density, which would decrease the proposed units from 50 to 13
units (using the 2-7du/ac range), to keep with the character and appearance
of the neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Joe & Shari Chillinsky
Pleasanton, CA 94566
