CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> October 19, 2021 <br /> This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom's <br /> Executive Order N-29-20 and AB 361 COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> Mayor Brown called the teleconferenced special meeting of the City Council from various remote <br /> locations to order at the hour of 6:00 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Absent: None <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT— None <br /> ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION FOR THE FOLLOWING: <br /> 1. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION per Government Code, §54957(b): <br /> Title: City Attorney <br /> 2. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS per Government Code §54957.6: <br /> Agency designated representatives: City Attorney Evaluation Subcommittee <br /> Unrepresented employee: City Attorney <br /> ADJOURNMENT—The special meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> Mayor Brown called the teleconferenced regular meeting of the City Council from various remote <br /> locations to order at the hour of 7:03 p.m. Councilmember Testa led the Pledge of Allegiance and <br /> provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Daniel Sodergren advised the closed session meeting would continue at the adjournment <br /> of the regular meeting. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS — None. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Spojmie Nasiri commented in support of item 1 to show support for the refugees. She spoke of her <br /> efforts to help Afghan Americans in the area. <br /> Councilmember Arkin moved to approve the Consent Calendar, seconded by Councilmember Balch. <br />
