BACKGROUND <br />The City's Agreement with Accounting Principals expires on December 31, 2021. <br />Through November 24, 2021, the Department spent a total of $286,978 on temporary <br />staffing through Accounting Principals. The Department currently has a temporary <br />employee placed by Accounting Principals backfilling for an employee on a long-term <br />leave that may need to stay on past December 31, 2021. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Department frequently requires temporary staffing for which there is often little to no <br />advance notice from the departing employee. Having a contract in place provides the <br />Department with the flexibility to quickly bring on temporary staff when necessary.
