The chemical treatment systems shall <br />consist of bulk sodium hypochlorite, liquid ammonia sulfate, and hydrofluosilicic acid. <br />· Rehabilitate the existing Well 8 facility located at the OSC and originally constructed in 1992. <br />Rehabilitation shall include but not be limited to restoring original pumping capacities that have <br />been reduced due to turbidity issues; replacing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems <br />that have reached the end of their useful life; rehabilitating the existing building structure that <br />houses the well pump and related equipment; constructing a new electrical building; and site <br />improvements. <br />· Abandon the existing Well 5 facility (originally constructed in 1962) and construct a new facility <br />named Well 9 that is located at Amador Community Park. The new Well 9 facility shall include but <br />not be limited to the design of a new well casing and new building that houses new well pump and <br />all new mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. <br />· Rehabilitate the existing Well 6 facility that was originally constructed in 1965. Rehabilitation shall <br />include but not be limited to abandoning the existing well casing and designing a new well casing; <br />replacing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems that have reached the end of their <br />useful life; rehabilitating the existing building structure; and site improvements. Upon completion, <br />the facility would be renamed Well 10. <br />· Design a new 18-inch pipeline (approximately 5,500 linear feet) to pump raw groundwater from <br />Wells 9 and 10 to the centralized treatment facility at the OSC. <br />· Upsize a 14-inch treated water distribution main on Santa Rita Road (between Valley Ave. and Black <br />Ave.) to 20-inch to mitigate the impacts of treated groundwater being introduced into the <br />distribution system exclusively from the OSC. <br />· Design and schedule construction/commissioning of the rehabbed Well 8 facility, new Well 9 facility, <br />new pipelines, and new centralized treatment facility while the existing Well 5 and Well 6 facilities <br />remain operational. After completion, decommission the existing Well 5 facility and construct <br />improvements to convert existing Well 6 to new Well 10. <br />Scope of Work <br />Task 1.0 – Project Management <br />Task 1.1 – Project Administration <br />Carollo Engineers, Inc. (Carollo) will provide project administration and management necessary to perform <br />planning, execution, monitoring, quality control, and reporting of the project. We will prepare a monthly <br />progress letter report attached to the monthly invoice to track and report the status of expenditures and key <br />work products completed during that billing period. <br />Task 1.2 – Kickoff Meeting <br />Carollo will prepare for and conduct the project kickoff meeting to summarize the scope and schedule, key <br />milestones, and decision points.
