NOVEMBER 2021 | 2
either GAC media or ion-exchange media (IX) in the future. The chemical treatment systems shall
consist of bulk sodium hypochlorite, liquid ammonia sulfate, and hydrofluosilicic acid.
· Rehabilitate the existing Well 8 facility located at the OSC and originally constructed in 1992.
Rehabilitation shall include but not be limited to restoring original pumping capacities that have
been reduced due to turbidity issues; replacing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
that have reached the end of their useful life; rehabilitating the existing building structure that
houses the well pump and related equipment; constructing a new electrical building; and site
improvements.
· Abandon the existing Well 5 facility (originally constructed in 1962) and construct a new facility
named Well 9 that is located at Amador Community Park. The new Well 9 facility shall include but
not be limited to the design of a new well casing and new building that houses new well pump and
all new mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
· Rehabilitate the existing Well 6 facility that was originally constructed in 1965. Rehabilitation shall
include but not be limited to abandoning the existing well casing and designing a new well casing;
replacing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems that have reached the end of their
useful life; rehabilitating the existing building structure; and site improvements. Upon completion,
the facility would be renamed Well 10.
· Design a new 18-inch pipeline (approximately 5,500 linear feet) to pump raw groundwater from
Wells 9 and 10 to the centralized treatment facility at the OSC.
· Upsize a 14-inch treated water distribution main on Santa Rita Road (between Valley Ave. and Black
Ave.) to 20-inch to mitigate the impacts of treated groundwater being introduced into the
distribution system exclusively from the OSC.
· Design and schedule construction/commissioning of the rehabbed Well 8 facility, new Well 9 facility,
new pipelines, and new centralized treatment facility while the existing Well 5 and Well 6 facilities
remain operational. After completion, decommission the existing Well 5 facility and construct
improvements to convert existing Well 6 to new Well 10.
Scope of Work
Task 1.0 – Project Management
Task 1.1 – Project Administration
Carollo Engineers, Inc. (Carollo) will provide project administration and management necessary to perform
planning, execution, monitoring, quality control, and reporting of the project. We will prepare a monthly
progress letter report attached to the monthly invoice to track and report the status of expenditures and key
work products completed during that billing period.
Task 1.2 – Kickoff Meeting
Carollo will prepare for and conduct the project kickoff meeting to summarize the scope and schedule, key
milestones, and decision points.
