RESOLUTION NO. 21-1258 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ACCEPTING THE FY 2020/21 YEAR-END OPERATING BUDGET, ALLOCATING THE <br />GENERAL FUND SURPLUS, DESIGNATING GENERAL FUND RESERVES, AND <br />ALLOCATING THE WATER AND SEWER FUNDS' SURPLUSES <br />WHEREAS, each year a report of financial condition of the Operating Budget is <br />presented to Council, and <br />WHEREAS, staff presented to Council such a report for the fiscal year ending June 30, <br />2021 <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. It accepts the June 30, 2021 Fund Balances as shown in the Attachment. <br />SECTION 2. It designates General Fund Reserves for existing and future unknown <br />obligations as shown in the Attachment for all funds and as follows for the General Fund, Water <br />Fund and Sewer Fund. <br />SECTION 3. It allocates $7,501,382 General Fund surplus as follows: $2 million to <br />General Fund reserve, $1 million to COVID Response and Recovery, $2 million to Repair and <br />Replacement reserves, and $2,501,382 to Capital Improvement Program Reserves (CIPR). <br />SECTION 4. It allocates $1,275,000 of the Water Fund surplus as follows: $275,000 to <br />drought response and $1 million to the PFAS project. <br />SECTION 5. It allocates $1,090,945 Sewer Fund surplus to a CIP reserve to fund <br />implementation of projects from the Sewer Management Plan. <br />SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it <br />into the book of original resolutions. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on the 16th day of November 2021. <br />I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br />foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting by the following vote: <br />Ayes: <br />Councilmembers Arkin, <br />Noes: <br />None <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Abstain: <br />None <br />AjP ROVED S TO FORM: <br />Daniel G.
