EXHIBIT A
Goodness Village was founded in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) public charity corporation for unhoused
local people who consider the Tri -Valley their home. Goodness Village exists to bring family to
those in need of a home through providing a community-based tiny home village for those who
have been chronically homeless.
Goodness Village provides a supportive living community in partnership with local faith groups,
businesses, cities, educational institutions, community members and partner service agencies,
and Goodness Village seeks to impart basic life skills, education, counseling, micro -enterprise
opportunities, apprenticeships, life experience, peer support and resources to empower
participants to improve the quality of their lives — to achieve greater self-sufficiency, and build a
safe and secure life.
Goodness Village was fully occupied on September 29, 2021 and houses five Pleasanton
residents who were experiencing homelessness.
On October 4, 2021, Goodness Village submitted a funding request to the City of Pleasanton of
$96,600 to address a funding gap created by overages in the building costs which in turn
impacted the budgeted operating costs for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. The funding request
represents the funding gap which is divided between the three Tri -Valley cities based upon the
number of residents being housed at Goodness Village from each city. There are five Pleasanton
residents at Goodness Village. The cost for six months is $106.74 a night per resident.
The City of Pleasanton seeks to assist in sustaining Goodness Village operations by providing
gap funding to pay for six months of cost to house the five Pleasanton residents residing at
Goodness Village.
Goodness Village will invoice the City of Pleasanton for six months as outlined in the following
Schedule.
Expense Period
Date Invoice may
be submitted
Amount of Invoice
January 1 —January 31, 2022
February 1, 2022
31 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $16,544.70
February 1 — February 28, 2022
March 1, 2022
28 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $14,943.60
March 1 — March 31, 2022
April 1, 2022
31 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $16,544.70
April 1 — April 30, 2022
May 1, 2022
30 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $16,011.00
May 1 — May 31, 2022
June 1, 2022
31 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $16,544.70
June 1 — June 30, 2022
July 1, 2022
30 days x 5 residents x $106.74
= $16,011.00
TOTAL
$96,599.70
6 1 P a g e
