CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY ~ CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 523 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY~ DESIGNATED <br /> AS ANNEXAT ION NO o 56 <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby make the following <br />findings: (a) On March 11, 1968, the Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton did pass and adopt Resolution No o 68-33 giving notice <br />of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the <br />City of Pleasanton. Said territory was designated as Annexation <br />No. 56, and did describe the boundaries of the territory proposed <br />to be annexed° <br /> <br /> (b) Said Resolution No. 68-33 contained a notice of <br />the time and place for the Council of the City of Pleasanton to <br />hear protests made by any person owning real property within the <br />territory proposed to be annexed. Said time of said hearing was <br />not less than fifteen nor more than sixty days from the date of <br />passage of the resolution. <br /> <br /> (c) On April 29, 1968, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in <br />the Council Chambers at the Multipurpose Room, Valley View School, <br />480 Adams Court, City of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of <br />California, the said City Council did conduct a public hearing and <br />pass upon protests made and filed. By Resolution No. 68-67 the <br />City Council determined that protests had not been made by the <br />owners of one-half of the value of the privately and publicly <br />owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last <br />equalized assessment roll. <br /> <br /> (d) Said territory is contiguous to the City of <br /> Pleasanton, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Alameda. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
