ra <br />THE CITY OF <br />�, ■iii6iil CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON., <br />November 2, 2021 <br />City Council <br />TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF <br />CITY ATTORNEY DAN SODERGREN TO PROVIDE FOR A $2,100 <br />MONTHLY SALARY ADJUSTMENT <br />SUMMARY <br />The City Council appoints and evaluates the City Attorney. Daniel Sodergren began work <br />on May 16, 2016. His employment contract provides that he will be reviewed annually. <br />The Mayor and Council have now reviewed Mr. Sodergren's performance. And, the <br />Council Subcommittee for City Attorney Evaluation (Mayor Brown and Councilmember <br />Arkin) have also considered a salary survey for this position. Based on this review, it is <br />recommended that Mr. Sodergren's monthly salary, currently $18,900, be increased to <br />$21,000. A contract amendment is attached. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the Third Amendment to Employment Contract City Attorney, and authorize the <br />mayor to sign on behalf of the city. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This contract amendment can be paid from available resources in the General Fund. <br />
