It is.
The denial is understandable in part because the architect I hired to draw up the visual aid for my
application miscalculated the required 25%depth as being 14 feet. As City staff pointed out,the
required depth is 16 feet-3 inches. In the confusion, I believe the fact has been lost that my retail shop
is, in fact 21 feet-6 inches deep, regardless of the architect's miscalculation.
For your review I have attached the original drawing(with the 14-foot error),the drawing as corrected
to 16 feet-three inches, and a photograph of the actual measurement of the depth of my shop.
Conclusion
We have all been on a challenging journey since COVID arrived. My personal journey has been
compounded this past 14 months by paying rent on a retail shop and sculpting studio I am unable to
open. I have been taking gig work, cleaning houses, and doing everything imaginable to sustain myself.
I am appealing to be treated reasonably,as has my neighbor. Thank you for your consideration.
(ii(Lcpy)0 0
Erica Jasso
Owner,Sculptsations
560 Main
Pleasanton,CA 94566
ericaiasso7PRmail.com
510-861-6464
Enclosures: Photos, Lease Space Diagrams, Letter of Denial
CC: Ms. Ellen Clark
Ms. Melinda Denis
ut what I am proposing to do has been blurred.
, Sculptsations, for an
Zoning Certificate and related determination as to conformance with the Active Ground-Floor
his report.
Primary Author:
Melinda Denis, Planning and Permit Center Manager, 925-931-5631 or mdenis@cityofpleasantonca.gov
P21-0820, 560 Main Street Planning Commission
9 of 9

P21-0820, 560 Main Street Planning Commission
6 of 9
reet.
