Presentation of Commendation to HappyArt <br /> Councilmember Testa read and presented the proclamation to Aditi Balakrishna. Ms. Balakrishna <br /> expressed appreciation for the support HappyArt has been getting from the community. She reported <br /> they started with donating 100 cards to the Pleasanton Senior Center and have expanded to 1000 <br /> cards. HappyArt is a way to show appreciation to Pleasanton's seniors. <br /> Ishmeet Dhillon encouraged residents interested in becoming a card creator, starting a chapter in their <br /> community, being a team manager, or have ideas to contribute to check HappyArt's website and <br /> Instagram for more information. <br /> Leigh Ann, a HappyArt creator, spoke of her experiences supporting a good cause and making an <br /> impact with HappyArt. <br /> Councilmember Testa commended HappyArt and noted August 21 is World Senior Citizen Day which is <br /> intended to increase awareness of issues that affect older adults. <br /> 15. Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda <br /> Nancy Harrington encouraged City Council to keep Leadership Pleasanton as it is. She advised it is a <br /> model of collaboration between the City and the Chamber of Commerce and is an outstanding program <br /> for anyone wanting to learn about the City. She reported she participated in the program in 2012. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 16. Receive status update regarding the Livermore Airport, including recent findings of Phase 1 Noise <br /> Studies <br /> Mayor Brown provided opening remarks and noted there is a public airport in the City of Livermore and <br /> the City has been receiving comments about the increased noise. She advised the goal of the item is <br /> to receive the report from the studies that have been done and to hear from residents. <br /> Assistant City Manager Brian Dolan introduced Nick Johnson of Johnson Aviation Consulting who has <br /> been working with the City and the City of Livermore Airport staff to understand current happenings at <br /> City Council Minutes Page 4 of 12 August 17, 2021 <br />
