SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Blowing of Main Street Sidewalk, Curbs, and Gutters <br /> (These Special Provisions are to be used in conjunction with the <br /> City Standard Specifications and Standard Details) <br /> SECTION 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK,GENERAL <br /> The work to be performed consists of twice weekly blowing of Main Street sidewalks,curbs, <br /> and gutters in areas specified in Attachment III. Additional blowing to be performed on as <br /> needed for special Main Street events (e.g., Thursday mornings after the 1st Wednesday <br /> Street Parties occurring May-September). <br /> SECTION 2. CLEANING STANDARD <br /> Store front to curb is blown out to street and the turn pockets are blown out so street sweeper <br /> may collect debris.No debris is to be left on the sidewalk. One worker on each side of the <br /> street to perform task. <br /> SECTION 3. SERVICE TIME <br /> Service is to begin at 157 Main Street and work toward the Pleasanton Hotel. Blowers must <br /> be run at idle speed within 100 feet of the Rose Hotel located at 807 Main Street. Service <br /> time will be from 6:00am—6:45am and will be completed in coordination with the contact <br /> sweeper. <br /> SECTION 4. EQUIPMENT <br /> Battery operated blowers are to be utilized for this scope of work. This is to mitigate the <br /> noise and impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. Contractor is responsible for charging <br /> all batteries off site at their maintenance facility. Portable generators are not allowed for <br /> charging batteries. <br /> Page 22 <br />
