RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> ESTABLISHING A CONVENIENCE SURCHARGE OF 2.5 PERCENT FOR CREDIT CARD <br /> PAYMENTS MADE TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> WHEREAS, at a public meeting on September 21, 2001, staff presented a report regarding <br /> establishing a 2.5 percent convenience surcharge to be assessed on credit card payments made to <br /> the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Section 1: Council adopts a convenience surcharge of 2.5 percent to be collected on all credit <br /> card payments made to the City. <br /> Section 2: Authorize the City Manager to take any actions to implement the intent of this <br /> resolution. <br /> Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> Section 4: City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of <br /> original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a <br /> regular meeting held on September 21, 2021. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, Acting City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 21st of <br /> September, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Jocelyn Kwong, Acting City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Daniel Sodergren, City Attorney <br />
