2 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> III min <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT - <br /> LEASANTON <br /> September 7, 2021 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE <br /> AGREEMENT WITH TOWNSEND PUBLIC AFFAIRS FOR LEGISLATIVE <br /> ADVOCACY AND GRANT APPLICATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE <br /> SERVICES TO INCREASE AMOUNT OF THE AGREEMENT BY $30,000 <br /> FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $120,000 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City of Pleasanton has an existing agreement with Townsend Public Affairs to <br /> perform legislative advocacy on behalf of the City. The current agreement is being <br /> amended to assist the City in identifying and applying for federal and state grants to <br /> fund PFAS mitigation efforts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the Second Amendment to the <br /> Professional Services Agreement with Townsend Public Affairs (Attachment 1) for <br /> legislative advocacy and grant application technical assistance services to increase the <br /> amount of the Agreement by $30,000 for a total amount not to exceed $120,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The proposed Second Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with <br /> Townsend Public Affairs is in the amount not to exceed $120,000, an increase of <br /> $30,000. Funding for this Agreement is currently in the operating budget general fund <br /> account 00199100-430101. The additional $30,000 will be allocated from the Water <br /> Operations Budget 42040602-430101. <br />
