<br />41 <br />Wastewater Service Area and Customers <br /> <br />DSRSD’s wastewater service area, including Pleasanton, totals approximately 47 square <br />miles. DSRSD provides wastewater collection, treatment and disposal service to an area of <br />approximately 25 square miles in the City of Dublin and the southern portion of the City of San <br />Ramon. DSRSD provides wastewater treatment and disposal (not collection) service to an area <br />of approximately 22 square miles in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The population of DSRSD’s service area is currently estimated to be approximately <br />188,000 (including 78,371 persons in Pleasanton). DSRSD provides wastewater treatment <br />service to 58,875 connections, representing 75,296 DUEs (including 36,793 of those in <br />Pleasanton). DSRSD’s total number of direct connections in the cities of Dublin and San Ramon <br />is currently 30,637, representing 38,503 DUEs. DSRSD treats and disposes of wastewater from <br />28,238 connections in Pleasanton, representing 36,793 DUEs.
