Pleasanton's Standard Specifications and Details (November 2016)which can be <br /> accessed at: <br /> http://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?B1obID=28996. <br /> Safety Trainina/Procedures <br /> Contractor must provide a copy of its safety training program that includes, but are not <br /> limited to,training staff on hazardous material, Safety Data Sheets, safety procedures,and <br /> safe work practices. This is required before Contractor can begin performing its services. <br /> Vehicles/Uniforms/Equipment <br /> • Vehicle access is limited to the sidewalk. At no time shall the Contractor drive <br /> vehicles on the turf, basketball courts, or other landscaped or hardscaped area(s). <br /> • All Vehicles utilized by the contractor shall have wording which clearly identifies <br /> the contractor/company. <br /> • All employees on site are to wear clothing which clearly identifies the <br /> contractor/company. <br /> • Transportation of equipment on public streets shall comply with California State <br /> Vehicle Code <br /> Contractor shall provide a list of the mowers intended to be utilized on the project to the <br /> Parks Superintendent for approval two weeks before mowing work is scheduled to begin. <br /> The Parks Superintendent holds the final decision in regard to the type and size(s) of <br /> mower, and speed at which an area is to be cut. <br /> Contractor's mowers are to be relatively clean and free of noxious weeds and diseases <br /> before entering site each week to not transplant these from other sites. <br /> Traffic Control <br /> Contractor shall conduct its operations as to cause the least possible obstruction and <br /> inconvenience to public traffic. To the greatest extent possible, all traffic shall be <br /> permitted to pass through the work area. Contractor shall furnish, erect, and maintain <br /> sufficient warning and directional signs, safety cones, sign boards, barricades and lights, <br /> and furnish sufficient flaggers to always give adequate warning to the public that the road <br /> or street is under construction. As prescribed by the Department of Transportation <br /> Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) for traffic control. <br /> DAMAGES <br /> All damages to turf, (rutting, etc.) sprinklers, irrigation systems, park furniture, <br /> hardscape, plants, or other park components shall be reported by Contractor to the City. If <br /> the damage was caused by the Contractor, the items will be repaired by the City and <br /> billed to the Contractor. <br /> Any plant material damaged by the contractor shall be replaced at his expense. <br /> 11 1 Page <br />
