R-83-19 <br /> <br />A RET;OI, U'I: [Ol.l OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF <br />THE CITY O17 ]?LEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />OF A SIGN[~IG PROGRAM FOR SItELL OIL COMPANY <br />AS EILEll) UNDER CASE Z-83-163 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Shell Oil Company has applied for a revised signing <br />program for the Shell station which is soon to be <br />remodeled at tile southeast corner of Hopyard.Road <br />and Owens Drive; and <br /> <br />%~EREAS, <br /> <br />at their duly noticed public hearing of August 10, 1983 <br />the Design Review Board considered all pertinent <br />exhibits, public testimony and recommendations of the <br />City Staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />when the PUD for the remodeling of the service station <br />was approved by the City Council, they indicated they wished <br />to see the design of these signs. For this reason, the <br />Design Review Board is making a recommendation versus <br />a final decision on this application. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Reco~nends approval of Case Z-83-163, application <br /> of Shell Oil Company for a comprehensive signing program <br /> for the proposed remodeled Shell Service Station <br /> located at the southeast corner of Hopyard Road and <br /> Owens Drive subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the signing program be substantially as shown on <br />the site plan and elevations, Exhibit A, on file <br />with the Planning Division and that the existing <br />pole sign shall not be increased in height even if <br />it is not now 30 feet. <br /> <br />2. That there be no additional signing installed on the <br /> subject property without prior City approval. <br /> <br />That the applicant apply for and receive all <br />necessary building permits for the installation of <br />the signs. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution will become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY TItE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 10TH DAY OF AUGUST 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Arrigoni, Lindsey and Acting <br />Chairman Wilson <br />None <br />Commissioner Jamiesen (replaced by Arrigoni) <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
