Proclamation proclaiming May 2021 as Older Americans Month <br /> Councilmember Narum read the proclamation recognizing May as Older Americans Month. <br /> Janet Burton, President, Friends of the Pleasanton Senior Center Board of Directors President reported <br /> the group is a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises funds to enhance the Pleasanton Senior Center and its <br /> programs <br /> 12. Presentation by Visit Tri-Valley on Tri-Valley Recovery Marketing Campaign <br /> Tracy Farhad, President and CEO of Visit Tri-Valley, presented the local recovery campaign made <br /> possible by the support of Pleasanton and the other Tri-Valley cities. She reported Danville, Dublin, <br /> Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon all agreed, and Visit Tri-Valley's Board of Directors matched <br /> the combined contributions of the five cities with the non-Tourism Improvement District (TID) Funds for <br /> a total investment of $250,000. Additionally, she highlighted the "To Tri-Valley with Love" campaign <br /> which encourages residents to promise to do their part by prioritizing shopping local. <br /> 13. Public Comment <br /> Kimlan Do, owner of the gas station located on the corner of Main Street and St. Mary Street, <br /> suggested creating a right-turn-only lane onto St. Mary Street from Main Street which would help <br /> businesses on her block and alleviate traffic congestion on Main Street when streets are closed for <br /> downtown events. <br /> Neil Gutierrez thanked City Council for taking into consideration the Pickleball Court in Muirwood <br /> Community Park. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 3 of 7 May 4. 2021 <br />
