RESOLUTION NO. 21-1220 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF CLAIMS WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS, AND WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (ALAMEDA CTC) FOR MEASURE B AND BB FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021/22 WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended (Public Utilities Code Section 99200, et. seq.) provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of community transit services to local residents; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations hereunder (21 California Administrative Code, Section 6600, et. seq.), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and WHEREAS, Alameda County Measure B and BB provides for the distribution of funds from local dedicated sales tax to provide special transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Measure B and BB, a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from Alameda County shall file its claim with the Alameda County Transportation Commission; and WHEREAS, the claims propose to continue a current program utilizing existing equipment, manpower, and routes, and proposes minor additional services and is, therefore, considered exempt from the requirements of the California Environment Quality Act; and WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County and Measure B and BB funds will be required by the Pleasanton Rides Service in Fiscal Year 2021/22 for community transit services. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1: Authorizes the City Manager or designee. to execute and file appropriate claims pursuant to the terms of the Transportation Development Act and Alameda County Measure B and BB. as amended. and pursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder. together with all necessary supporting documents, with the MTC. Alameda CTC and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for an allocation of TDA and Measure B and BB funds for Fiscal Year 2021/22. SECTION 2: Transmit a copy of this Resolution to the MTC, Alameda CTC, and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in conjunction with the filing of claims. and the MTC and Alameda CTC will be requested to grant the allocations of funds as specified herein.
