THE WEAVE <br />The 10x Genomics facility is conceived as a science village set in a park. Building one is an operations building <br />with unique program elements on each floor. The building's facade is inspired by genomic science and DNA barcode <br />sequencing. The gleaming panel ized enclosure weaves across the elevation both vertically and horizontally in response <br />to the building's internal uses, solar exposure and views from one elevation to the next and from floor to floor. Each <br />fagade and floor are unique in its expression, with level one being more solid, responding to the internal uses and <br />levels two and three becoming more transparent with larger glass openings as the building meets the sky. There is <br />an overall, holistic rigor and order to the fagade, that is informed by science and DNA sequencing. The building is an <br />expression of science, through form and enclosure. An elegant, shimmering building that resides in a beautiful park. <br />10/ GENOMICS <br />
