• Training Shelter personnel and providing equipment necessary to carry out <br /> Shelter operations. <br /> • Operating in accordance with related codes and laws <br /> • Preparing an annual operating budget <br /> • Providing all invoicing and collection of payments <br /> • Retaining records of animal types, time and date of collection, adoptions, <br /> veterinary care, etc. <br /> The Cities and County are responsible for: <br /> • Staffing the Shelter Operations Advisory Committee which is responsible for <br /> establishing service standards, policy and practices and approving the annual <br /> operating budget. <br /> • Providing recommendations regarding Shelter operations and services <br /> • Reviewing proposed changes to procedures and operations. <br /> As indicated previously, the proposed MOU is for a period of three years with the <br /> potential for two options of two years each. <br /> In regarding to processing the MOU, staff anticipates that the Cities will take action and <br /> then it will be presented to the Alameda Board of Supervisors for consideration and <br /> approval.
