May 12, 2021 <br /> Item 6 <br /> SUBJECT: Selection of Sub-Committee Representatives and Alternates for <br /> May — December 2021 <br /> Two Planning Commissioners' terms ended since the sub-committee representatives and <br /> alternates were chosen for 2021 , resulting in vacancies that need to be filled for the remainder <br /> of the year. <br /> At a minimum, the following new appointments are necessary based on Commissioners' terms <br /> ending: <br /> • Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee: One Alternate (Note: the Commission <br /> previously appointed two alternates to this Committee) <br /> • Heritage Tree Board of Appeals: One Representative <br /> One Alternate <br /> The Commission may also elect to appoint new representatives to any of the positions for <br /> these two Committees. The Committee's respective scope of duties, and current <br /> appointments are listed below. <br /> Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee <br /> Advise the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City's Traffic Engineering Division on <br /> bicycle, pedestrian and trail related items. The committee reviews and prioritizes potential <br /> projects, provides input on policies related to bikeways and trails, and promotes community <br /> education and awareness regarding non-motorized forms of transportation. <br /> Meeting Time: Fourth Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. <br /> Meeting Location: Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton <br /> Current Representative: Commissioner Pace <br /> Current Alternate: Commissioner Brown <br /> Heritage Tree Board of Appeals <br /> Make findings of fact upholding, reversing or modifying the director's decision with regard to <br /> heritage tree removal permits. <br /> Meeting Time: As needed <br /> Meeting Location: City Council Chamber, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton <br /> Current Representative: Commissioner Allen <br /> Current Alternate: Vacant <br /> Selection of Sub-Committee Representatives Page 1 of 1 May 12, 2021 <br /> for May— December 2021 <br />
