CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 495 ADJUSTING GARBAGE COLLECTION RATES, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 345 (REFUSE SERVICE) AS AMENDED, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 438 CONCERNING FREE COLLECTION OF ADDITIONAL REFUSE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION. Ordinance No. 345, concerning refuse disposal, and Ordinance 438, is hereby amended by repealing in total Ordinance No. 438, adopted January 17, 1966. SECTION 2. Ordinance No.345 is hereby further amended by changing Section 9.01 to read as follows: "SECTION 9.01. For the collection removal and disposal of all refuse, there shall be a flat monthly charge based on thirty (30) gallons refuse in one container, as follows: One can, one collection per week $1.50 per month One can, two collections per week $2.70 per month One can, three collections per week $3.05 per month One can, six collections per week $8.10 per month Two cans, one collection per week $2.70 per month A surcharge of $.50 per can collected per month shall be added to the above rates for collection of other than the area between the street and feet to the rear of the front of the house. Large accumulations of refuse shall be collected and removed for a special service charge at the rate of $10.00 per hour for two men and one truck, plus $1.00 per cubic yard of refuse. The minimum special service charge shall be considered fifteen minutes." SECTION 3. Section 5.00 of Ordinance No. 345, providing for free pickup of limited amount of additional refuse, is hereby repealed. SECTION 4. All provisions of Ordinance No. 345, as amended by Ordinance No. 438, in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 5.
