CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 490 <br /> <br /> FIXING COMPENSATION FOR COUNCILMEN <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 36516 of the Government Code, <br />a policy of compensating City Councilmen for their services as <br />members of the legislative body of the City of Pleasanton is <br />hereby established. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Based on the population of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the date this Ordinance becomes effective, and the schedule <br />set forth in Paragraph (b) of Section 36516, each member of the <br />City Council shall receive a salary as follows: <br /> <br /> The sum of $150.00 per month, commencing <br /> August 1, 1967. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published once in "THE <br />TIMES", a newspaper of general circulation published within the <br />City, and shall be effective August 2, 1967. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton on June 26, 1967. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on July 3, 1967, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Long, Rega and Reid <br /> <br /> NOES: Councilmen Gerton and Harding <br /> <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> .....
