RESOLUTION NO. 21-1203 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE GRANT OF A UTILITY <br /> DISTRIBUTION EASEMENT TO PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC ACROSS THE <br /> LIVERMORE PLEASANTON FIRE STATION NO. 3 PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3200 <br /> SANTA RITA ROAD TO PROVIDE GAS AND ELECTRIC SERVICES TO THE <br /> PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, City is demolishing and reconstructing the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Station <br /> No. 3 (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric will supply gas and electric utilities to the project site <br /> requiring equipment be located in close proximity to the project site; and <br /> WHEREAS, land space on the small project site is limited; and <br /> WHEREAS, a design goal of the project is to make pedestrian and motorist views of the <br /> finished project from West Las Positas and Santa Rita Road attractive, and <br /> WHEREAS, the required Pacific Gas and Electric equipment located in the public right of <br /> way on either West Las Positas or Santa Rita will is inconsistent with the aesthetic goal. <br /> WHEREAS, City has proposed a location for the equipment on the site that does not <br /> interfere with station operations and is out of public view, and <br /> WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric has agreed to the location but requires a utility <br /> distribution easement granting rights to install and operate their equipment in the identified. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute the Utility Distribution Easement, as <br /> generally shown in the Exhibit One, subject to minor modifications by the City Manager as <br /> approved by the City Attorney. as well as other necessary related documents. <br /> SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> SECTION 3. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the <br /> book of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 2, 2021. <br />
