for <br /> <br /> STREET AND HIGHWAY <br />MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND ]/~PROVEMENT <br /> <br /> THI~ AGREEMENT, mszle and entered into by and between the <br /> <br />COUNTY (~ ALA EDA, a political subdivision of the Stye of California, <br /> V <br />hereinafter r ferred to as COUNTY, and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation, referred to as CITY, <br /> <br /> WITNE SSETH: <br /> CITY is desirous of contracting with COUNTY for the <br /> <br />performance general street and highway maintenance and repair, <br /> <br />signal maintenance, and other miscellaneous street and highway related <br /> <br />functions in C1/~f's boundaries through COUNTY's Public Works <br />Department; <br /> COUNTY is agreeable to performing such services on the <br />terms and itions hereinafter set forth; and <br /> such contractual agreement is authorized and provided <br /> of Section 60 of the Charter of the County of Alameda, <br /> Part 2, Division l, Title 5 of the Government Code of the <br /> <br />for by the <br />and Chapter 1 <br />State of <br /> <br /> N~ <br /> <br />through its <br />to perform <br />the <br /> <br />1. <br />and highways, <br /> <br /> 2. <br /> <br />THEREFCRE, IT IS AGP~ED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I <br /> <br />the request of the City Council, or of such agent or <br />thereof as may be designated by such Council, COUNTY, acting <br /> <br /> of Public Works, hereinafter called D]!%ECT~, agrees <br />following functions and services for CITY, dependent upon <br /> <br /> of labor, equipment, and materials: <br /> <br /> reconstruct, maintain, and repair public streets <br /> all appurtenances thereto, including signal construction <br /> <br /> engineering services required in connection with the <br />accomplishment of the aforesaid functions and services. <br /> <br />3. additional functions and services that can be lawfully <br />performed by for the COUNTY. <br /> <br /> <br />
