DRAFT 2021 Recommended Positions on Bills <br /> Assembly Bill/ Summary Guiding Recommended City Position TVC League of <br /> Senate Bill Principle Position CA Cities <br /> Position <br /> SB 33 (Cortese) The California Environmental Quality Housing Watch. This bill may be subject to None Watch <br /> California Act (CEQA) requires a lead agency, as revision a "watch" position is <br /> Environmental defined, to prepare, or cause to be recommended to determine the <br /> Quality Act: lead prepared, and certify the completion of potential impact to the City. <br /> an environmental impact report on a <br /> agency project that it proposes to carry out or <br /> approve that may have a significant <br /> effect on the environment or to adopt a <br /> negative declaration if it finds that the <br /> project will not have that effect. CEQA <br /> defines"lead agency"to mean the <br /> public agency that has the principal <br /> responsibility for carrying out or <br /> approving a project that may have a <br /> significant effect upon the <br /> environment. This bill would make non- <br /> substantive changes to those <br /> provisions. <br /> SB 44 (Allen) Would require the Judicial Council, on Housing Watch.
