7 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> February 2, 2021 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 4 <br /> REPAIRS PROJECT, CIP NO. 11429 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This project consisted of repairs to the upper parapet walls, replacing the roof and <br /> painting the exterior of the building. The repairs addressed defects in the building's roof <br /> drain system and waterproofing systems, which were allowing water intrusion or leaks <br /> into various areas within the building. Due to the leaks, several interior finishes also had <br /> to be repaired. The total cost of the project was $519,998 Construction of this project is <br /> now complete, and it is recommended that City Council accept the work and direct the <br /> City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's <br /> Office. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Accept the project as complete and direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> 2. Authorize the transfer of the project balance $22,284 to the MISC CIP General Fund <br /> Balance — Fund 201. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $542,282 as outlined in Attachment 1 . Expenditures <br /> totaled $519,998, leaving a remaining balance of $22,284. Staff recommends the <br /> transfer of the remaining balance back to the MISC CIP General Fund Balance — Fund <br /> 201 . <br />
