ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.20, SECTION 11.20.010, OF THE MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE TO SET AND REVISE SPEED LIMITS FOR STONERIDGE DRIVE BETWEEN <br /> STONERIDGE MALL ROAD AND JOHNSON DRIVE AND BETWEEN JOHNSON <br /> DRIVE AND HOPYARD ROAD <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Title 11,Vehicles and Traffic,Chapter 11.20,Speed Limits Section <br /> 11.20.010,Speed Limits in Certain Zones,of the Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton,is <br /> hereby amended to add new subsections,amend existing subsections,and delete subsections, <br /> as follows: <br /> 11.20.010 Speed limits in certain zones. <br /> Based upon an engineering and traffic investigation and study,the prima facie speed <br /> limit shall be as set forth in this section on those streets,or parts of said streets,designated in <br /> this section when signs are in place giving notice thereof: <br /> II. Stoneridge Drive: <br /> 2. From Stoneridge Mall Road to Johnson Drive the speed limit shall be 45 <br /> 40 miles per hour. <br /> 3. From Johnson Drive to Hopyard Road the speed limit shall be 45 40 miles <br /> per hour. <br /> SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen(15) <br /> days after its adoption in"The Valley Times,"a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton,and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen(15)days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen(15)days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty(30) days after its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on January 19,2021 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karla Brown,Mayor <br />
