date of this ordinance shall be considered to nave <br /> permits if, within 30 days from the effective date <br /> hereof, the owners thereof apply for and are ~ranted <br /> a permit as required herein. <br /> <br />Sectioz~ 1~. Suspej!s!on and Revocation of Permit. The Chief of <br /> Police shall have the right to revoke or suspend any <br /> card room permit issued ne~'e~nder and to take posses- <br /> sion of such permit on the following grounds: <br /> <br /> (1) Misrepresentation with respect to any of the <br /> information required in the application for <br /> permit provided for in Section 2. <br /> <br /> (2) Violation of any provision of this or any <br /> other ordinance of the City of Pleasanton or <br /> of State law. <br /> <br />Section 18. Violation and Penalty. Any ~erson violating any of <br /> the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed <br /> ~uilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, <br /> shall be puni'shed by a fine not to exceed Five Hundred <br /> ($500.00) Dollars, or by im~risonment, or both. <br /> <br />Section 1~ Severabiii~v. If ~ny section, subsection, s~ntence, <br /> · ~ <br /> <br /> clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason <br /> held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision <br /> of any court of competent Jurisdiction, such .decision <br /> shall not affect the validity of the remainin.~f portion <br /> of this ordinance.
