RESOLUTION NO. 20-1189 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, LEVYING <br /> THE 2021 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE DOWNTOWN PLEASANTON BUSINESS <br /> IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a Pleasanton Downtown <br /> Business Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are set forth in Chapter <br /> 5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed an Advisory Board for the <br /> Pleasanton Downtown Business Improvement District; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a 2020 annual report and 2021 budget in <br /> accordance with the statutory requirements of the Streets and Highways Code, §36534; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting on November 17, 2020, accepted and <br /> approved the 2020 Annual Report and 2021 Budget of the Downtown Pleasanton Business <br /> Improvement District, in accordance with the Streets and Highways Code, §36533; and <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing, as provided in §36534 of the Streets and <br /> Highways Code was held before the City Council on December 1, 2020, to consider the levy of <br /> the proposed annual assessment; and <br /> WHEREAS, there were no protests regarding the proposed assessment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: The City Council hereby levies the 2021 annual assessment for the <br /> Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on December 1st, 2020. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of December, <br /> 2020 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Testa, Vice-Mayor Narum <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Mayor Thorne <br /> Abstain: None <br /> L <br /> Karen z, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> ii;d44(Avier___ <br /> Daniel G.
