FOR THE SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS (MOHR AVENUE TO VALLEY AVENUE) <br /> PROJECT, CIP NO. 20736 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Santa Rita Road Landscape Improvements (Mohr Avenue to Valley Avenue) <br /> Project, CIP No. 20736, consisted of the renovation of the landscape and irrigation in <br /> the three medians and the east side right-of-way of Santa Rita Road between Mohr <br /> Avenue and Valley Avenue. Construction of all work is complete and ready for <br /> acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice <br /> of Completion. <br /> 2. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of$11,425 to Marshall Brothers <br /> Enterprises, Inc. 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Transfer the project balance to the Park Capital Improvement Program - General <br /> Fund. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for construction of this project totaled $290,000. The cost of construction was <br /> $228,497, which includes the original construction contract award of$220,734, and four <br /> change orders totaling $7,763. Total project expenditures, construction, and other <br /> miscellaneous expenses totaled $228,612, leaving a project balance of$61,388. Staff <br /> recommends the remaining project balance be returned to the Park Capital <br /> Improvement Program - General Fund. Project funding and expenditures are outlined in <br /> Attachment 1. <br />
