2 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> jLEASANTON. <br /> December 15, 2020 <br /> City Manager <br /> Housing Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE <br /> PROGRAM PREFERENCES FOR PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT, CITY OF PLEASANTON, LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT AND ALAMEDA COUNTY EMPLOYEES, AND EMPLOYEES <br /> OF NOT-FOR-PROFIT AGENCIES PROVIDING SOCIAL SERVICES TO <br /> PLEASANTON RESIDENTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This report describes a proposal to authorize preferences for Pleasanton Unified School <br /> District, City of Pleasanton, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Alameda <br /> County employees, and employees of not-for-profit agencies providing social services to <br /> Pleasanton residents applying for participation in the City's Down Payment Assistance <br /> Program. The proposed program is based on but does not contain the exact <br /> parameters recommended by the Housing Commission on August 22, 2019. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt resolution authorizing Down Payment Assistance Program preferences for <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District, City of Pleasanton, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br /> Department and Alameda County employees, and employees of not-for-profit agencies <br /> providing social services to Pleasanton, who are applying for a City-funded down <br /> payment assistance loan as first time homebuyers. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The authorization for Down Payment Assistance Program preferences will not have any <br /> direct fiscal impact on the City. City Council previously approved up to $300,000 from <br /> the Low Income Housing Fund in the FY 2020/21 midterm budget to be used to fund <br /> this program. <br />
