Reports from Meetings Attended (e.g., Committee, Task Force, etc.) <br /> Chair Ritter discussed both his and Commissioner Allen's attendance at the Chamber of <br /> Commerce meeting, where there was discussion about Pleasanton's water supply and water <br /> regulations; he mentioned he inquired about the Regional Housing Needs Assessment <br /> (RHNA) numbers and the impact to the City's water supply. Commissioner Allen informed the <br /> Commission there was a link available for viewing the meeting. She then suggested adding <br /> information to the City's website on the status of the City of Pleasanton's water and its supply. <br /> Ms. Clark stated she would pass this comment on to the Director of the Operation Services <br /> Department (OSD). <br /> 8. Future Planning Calendar <br /> Ms. Clark gave a brief overview of future items for the Commission's review. <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> Chair Ritter congratulated Commissioners Allen and Balch on their run for City Council and <br /> thanked them for serving on the Planning Commission. Commissioner Brown asked if they <br /> would be prevented from serving on the Planning Commission the remainder of the year if they <br /> were elected. She suggested not modifying the PMC as was requested by written <br /> public comment submitted earlier in the day, but rather individually considering the Walnut Hills <br /> neighborhood and other PUDs as requests such this are submitted. <br /> Commissioner Allen asked about the hierarchy of laws. Ms. Harryman stated state law would <br /> take precedence over specific conditions in a PUD if they were not consistent with the law. <br /> Speaker Alok Damireddy suggested the PMC be modified to allow ADUs above detached <br /> garages in all PUDs. <br /> THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> Ms. Harryman clarified that CC&Rs prohibiting ADUs were no longer allowed by state law. <br /> Commissioner Allen moved to adopt a resolution recommending approval of Case <br /> P20-0412 to the City Council with the proposed amendments shown in Exhibit A. <br /> Commissioner Balch seconded the motion. <br /> Planning Commission Minutes Page 6 of 7 October 28, 2020 <br />impression that leaving it on <br /> the office was acceptable as Stanley Boulevard was more of a commercial street. He <br /> stated there were exceptions to everything, including the orange on the building, but clarified <br /> many of the examples Commissioner Allen provided without orange on the buildings were in <br /> many cases 20 years old and had since been rebranded with large orange stripes on the top or <br /> they were acquisitions of buildings that may have been brick or another material.
