Public Comment <br /> Evelyn Andrews invited Mayor Thorne and the City Council to participate in the Las Positas Veterans <br /> First challenge walk to raise awareness for veterans' suicide issues. <br /> Jesus Orozco encouraged Pleasanton to create its own joint Tri-Valley Health Department with Dublin <br /> and Livermore due to inconsistencies in Alameda County's pandemic re-opening policies. <br /> City Manager Fialho responded that the City has not been contacted by Dublin and Livermore and the <br /> City's focus has been on advocacy and ensuring the Tri-Valley position is known to the Alameda <br /> County Board of Supervisors. He explained the challenges of setting up a health department in <br /> Pleasanton including the need for both county and state legislative support along with creating <br /> operational capability. He will communicate with Dublin and Livermore and return the matter to the City <br /> Council if there is interest. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 8.
