CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> October 6, 2020 <br /> This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom's <br /> Executive Orders N-25-20 COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> Vice Mayor Narum called the teleconferenced special meeting of the City Council from various remote <br /> locations to order at the hour of 6:15 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Testa, Vice Mayor Narum <br /> Absent: Mayor Thorne <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT — None <br /> ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION FOR THE FOLLOWING: <br /> CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR pursuant to Government Code § 54957.6: <br /> Agency representative: Nelson Fialho <br /> Employee organization: Unrepresented Management and Confidential <br /> ADJOURNMENT —The special meeting adjourned at 6:32 p.m. <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> Vice Mayor Narum called the teleconferenced regular meeting of the City Council from various remote <br /> locations to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Testa led the Pledge of Allegiance and <br /> provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Testa, Vice Mayor Narum, Mayor Thorne (7:51) <br /> Absent: <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Daniel Sodergren advised no reportable action was taken in closed session. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Nelson Fialho reported Item 2 will be continued for formatting changes and advised Item <br /> No. 18 will also be continued. <br /> Vice Mayor Narum and Councilmember Brown requested Item No. 11 be removed from the Consent <br /> Calendar and moved to Item No. 20. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> In response to Councilmember Brown's inquiries, City Manager Fialho clarified areas subject to weed, <br /> herbicide and pesticide abatement such as street medians are not frequented by the public and are <br /> used consistent with state law.
