Deputy City Manager Ott requested the motion be restated. Councilmember Pentin restated his motion <br /> to adopt staff recommendation Option 2 with loan amounts for business with 2-10 employees of <br /> $10,000 and $10,800 (in the downtown), for businesses with 11-25 employees of $20,000 and $21,600 <br /> (in the downtown) with a three-year loan payback period and additionally expanding the 11-25 <br /> employees criteria to any eligible business type and adding professional services as an eligible <br /> business. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Pentin/Testa to update the Business Assistance Program and approve <br /> recommended increases in the Business Support Loan Fund for businesses with 2-10 employees to <br /> $10,000 and $10,800 in the downtown, for businesses with 11-25 employees to $20,000 and $21,600 <br /> in the downtown, and add professional services as an eligible business. Motion passed by the following <br /> vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Pentin, Testa. Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Mayor Thorne reported he and Councilmember Narum have started the process of completing <br /> performance evaluations for the City Manager and the City Attorney. He expressed concern about the <br /> level of disregard for masking in Pleasanton. <br /> Councilmember Testa requested to agendize discussion around fines for not complying with the face <br /> mask order. Mayor Thorne agreed. The request failed for a lack of a third. <br /> Councilmember Brown requested the City generate letters in support of SB 793. In response to Mayor <br /> Thorne's inquiry, City Manager Fialho reported staff can draft a letter and have it signed by Mayor <br /> Thorne in support. Mayor Thorne requested City Manager Fialho obtain support from the other Tri- <br /> Valley Mayors as well. <br /> Councilmember Testa requested an annual compliance report regarding the Tobacco Ordinance.
