CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-014 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2004 WEED ABATEMENT <br />PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF <br />WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR IN FRONT OF <br />CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 16, 2004, Council adopted Resolution No. 04-010 <br />declaring as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of <br />certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set <br />forth in Exhibit "A", attached thereto and attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />Resolution No. 04-010 was adopted pursuant to the provisions of Government <br />Code Sections 39560-39588; and <br /> <br />Resolution No. 04-014 designated April 20, 2004, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., in the <br />Pleasanton City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place to hear and <br />consider objections to the abatement and removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon <br />or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton more <br />particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 04-014 and attached hereto <br />as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to perform the duties <br />imposed by Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices <br />to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse; and <br /> <br />the City Clerk, in accordance with Government Code Section 39567.1, did mail <br />written notice of the proposed abatement and removal and the public heating to all <br />persons owning property described in Resolution No. 04-010; and <br /> <br />the City Council did hold a public heating on April 20, 2004 and no protests were <br />presented; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, abatement of the nuisance may be performed by the City or by a contractor; and <br /> <br /> <br />
