CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1904 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF STEVE AND <br />LAURA ZUNIGA FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT MAJOR <br />MODIFICATION AND DESIGN REVIEW APPROVALS, AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE PUD-79-02-12M/PADR-916 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Steve and Laura Zuniga have applied for a major modification to an <br />approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan to allow <br />construction outside of the building envelope and for design review <br />approval for an approximately 15-foot high, 1,200-square-foot detached <br />second unit at 2350 Gloria Court; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-LDR (Planned Unit Development - Low <br /> Density Residential) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this application is categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 10, 2004, the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the modification to the PUD development plan and of the <br />design review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on April 6, 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the PUD major modification is consistent with <br />the General Plan policies and the purposes of the PUD ordinance of the <br />City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the proposed second unit on the site is appropriate and generally well <br />designed to blend in with the existing structure on the site and the project <br />would result in a development which would be beneficial to the area. <br /> <br /> <br />
