CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 548 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A 35 MILE PER HOUR SPEED <br /> LIMIT ON VALLEY AVENUE BETWEEN SANTA RITA ROAD AND TO A <br /> POINT 1400 FEET WEST OF CRESTLINE ROAD <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br />There is hereby added to the Traffic regulations of the City of <br />Pleasanton the following regulation relating to speed limits on <br />Valley Avenue: <br /> <br /> Section 1. VALLEY AVENUE SPEED LIMIT <br /> <br /> On the basis of engineering and traffic investiga- <br /> tions, the prima facie speed limit on Valley Avenue <br /> between Santa Rita Road and to a point 1400 feet <br /> West of Crestline Road shall be 35 miles per hour. <br /> Appropriate signs shall be erected and maintained <br /> at the appropriate places on the herein described <br /> portion of Valley Avenue indicating the speed limit <br /> referred to herein. <br /> <br /> II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be published once, within fifteen days after <br />its adoption, in ~THE TIMES", a newspaper of general circulation <br />published in the City of Pleasanton, and shall be in force on the <br />thirty-first day after adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on February 17, 1969. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on February 1969, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
