THE CITY OF IN <br />RF _,'-r CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. 10 <br />October 6, 2020 <br />Engineering <br />TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY ROSAS <br />BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION FOR THE ANNUAL CURB AND GUTTER <br />FOR STREET RESURFACING PROJECTS, CIP NO. 20509 <br />SUMMARY <br />This annual project consisted of removing and replacing damaged concrete sidewalk <br />and curb and gutter on streets included in the 2020 street resurfacing program. The <br />project also included the installation of pedestrian access ramps as required by the <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) where none existed, as well as replacing some <br />old ramps that were significantly out compliance with current ADA standards, on streets <br />that are scheduled to paved this year. Construction of the project is now complete and <br />ready for acceptance. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Accept the project as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br />Completion. <br />2. Authorize release of the retention in the amount of $29,034 to Rosas Brothers <br />Construction 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br />3. Authorize the return of the project's unused balance of $67,561 to the Gas Tax fund <br />balance. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funding for this project totaled $650,000 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br />totaled $582,439, leaving an unused balance of $67,561. Staff recommends the <br />remaining unused amount be returned to the Gas Tax fund balance. <br />
