permitting system in May 2011. TruePoint's services are being sought in a sole -source
capacity, due to their extensive dedicated experience with the City's Accela platform.
TruePoint Solutions will work with City staff to upgrade and modify the existing
electronic permitting system.
Additionally, as part of the overall enhancements being funded under the SB 2 grant,
staff is currently in the selection process for an electronic plan review software vendor.
Upon selection of a vendor, TruePoint Solutions would perform the necessary
integration work to link the City's Accela platform with the electronic plan review
software. Additional authorization is sought at this time, to allow the City Manager to
execute necessary contract amendments (up to an additional $30,000) for TruePoint's
implementation and integration services with the selected software platform. The
electronic plan review software vendor will provide advanced electronic plan review
functions and capabilities not available through Adobe Acrobat, which is the software
platform currently in use for plan review at the City. A separate agreement will also be
completed with the selected software vendor, for that product and service, in line with
the City's Purchasing Policy.
The scope of work outlined in the attached professional services agreement would
upgrade the City's electronic permitting system and streamline the development review
process.
Submitted by:
cal Review:
Ellen Clark Tina Olson
Director of Director of
Community Finance
Development
Technology
Approve by:
Nelson Fialho
City Manager
Attachment:
1.
