THE CITY OF <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> _pLEASANTONMEETING MINUTES <br /> DRAFT <br /> Wednesday, August 26, 2020 <br /> This meeting was conducted via teleconference in accordance with Governor Newsom's Executive <br /> Orders N-20-20 and N-35-20 and COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, AND ROLL CALL <br /> The teleconference meeting of the Planning Commission of August 26, 2020 was called to <br /> order at 7:03 p.m. by Vice Chair Brown. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice Chair Brown. <br /> Staff Members Present: Megan Campbell, Associate Planner; Ellen Clark, Director of <br /> Community Development; Melinda Denis, Planning and Permit <br /> Center Manager; Julie Harryman, Assistant City Attorney; Stefanie <br /> Ananthan, Recording Secretary <br /> Commissioners Present: Commissioners Nancy Allen, Jack Balch, Justin Brown, Greg <br /> O'Connor, Brandon Pace (noted present at 7:44 p.m.) <br /> Commissioners Absent: Chair Herb Ritter <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> There were no agenda amendments. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR - Consent Calendar items are considered routine and will be enacted by one <br /> motion unless a request for removal for discussion or explanation is received from the Planning <br /> Commission or a member of the public by submitting a speaker card for that item. <br /> 1. Actions of the City Council <br /> 2. Actions of the Zoning Administrator <br /> 3. Approve the meeting minutes of August 12, 2020 <br /> Commissioner Allen moved to approve the Consent Calendar. <br /> Commissioner Balch seconded the motion. <br /> Planning Commission Minutes Page 1 of 9 August 26, 2020 <br />7. Reports from Meetings Attended (e.g., Committee, Task Force, etc.) <br /> 8. Future Planning Calendar <br /> 9. Informational Update on Chick-fil-A, CIP 15525 Hopyard Road at Owens Drive and <br /> CIP 18531 Stoneridge Drive at 1-680 on ramp widening projects <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Planning Commission Agenda Page 2 of 3 September 23, 2020 <br />r Planning Commission <br /> questions,as needed. <br /> • The applicant will be asked to make a presentation, if desired, or answer questions.Applicant presentations should <br /> be no longer than ten minutes. <br /> • The Chair then calls on anyone desiring to speak on the item. Speakers are requested to state their names for the <br /> public record and to keep their testimony to no more than three minutes each,with minimum repetition of points made <br /> by previous speakers and by being as brief as possible in making their testimony. <br /> • Following public testimony, the applicant will be given the opportunity to respond to issues raised by the public.The <br /> response should be limited to five minutes. <br /> The public hearing will then be closed.The Planning Commissioners then discuss among themselves the application under <br /> consideration and act on the item. Planning Commission actions may be appealed to the City Council.Appeals must be filed <br /> with the City Clerk's Office within 15 days of the Planning Commission's action. <br />
