CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 830 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 22 (TRAILER AND TRAILER <br />PARKS), CHAPTER 2 (ZONING), TITLE II (ZONING AND DEVEL- <br />OPMENT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />BY ADDING SECTION 2-10.29 RELATING TO TRAILERS ON SCHOOL <br />SITES AND MODIFYING EXISTING SECTIONS 2-10.26 (OCCUPANCY) <br />AND 2-10.27 (PARKING) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />school districts are authorized by Education Code ~15809 to <br />install and lease a mobile home site on school sites in ex- <br />change for mobile home residents' agreement to keep school <br />facilities under surveillance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />school districts are subject to City zoning ordinances for <br />non-classroom facilities pursuant to Government Code ~53094; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Amador' Valley High School District has requested permission <br /> to install a mobile home site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Section 2-10.26 (Occupancy), Article 22 (Trailer and Trailer <br /> Parks), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II of the Ordinance Code <br /> of the City of Pleasanton is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />2-10.26 Occupancy. Except as provided in Sections 2-10.22 <br />(Temporary Conditional Uses) and 2-10.29 (Trailers on <br />School Sites), no trailer (mobile home) shall be occupied <br />or used for living or sleeping purposes unless it is <br />located in a licensed trailer park, provided that a trailer <br />may be used as an office for a construction project. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 2-10.27 (Parking), Article 22, Chapter 2, Title <br /> II of the Ordinance Code of the City is amended as follows: <br /> <br />2-10.27 Parking. No trailer, whether designed for <br />living or sleeping purposes or not, shall be parked or <br />stored in an R District except as prescribed in Sections <br />2-5.47 (Types of Vehicles and Parking Locations Permitted <br />in R Districts) and 2-10.29. <br /> <br />Section 3. Article 22, Chapter 2, Title II is amended further by <br /> adding the following section: <br /> <br />2-10.29 Trailers on School Sites. A trailer may be <br />occupied or used for living or sleeping purposes on a <br />developed public or private school site or college site, <br />provided that such trailer is occupied for the purpose <br />of reducing vandalism and other damage to school facili- <br />ties. A Conditional Use Permit, in accordance with <br />Article 25 (Conditional Uses) of this Chapter, is required <br />for installation of a trailer. <br /> <br /> <br />
