THE CITY OF Planning Commission Report 111 : 111 ININEt' III Agenda LE ASANTONG August 26, 2020 Item 1 SUBJECT: Actions of the City Council August 18, 2020 Consent Calendar: Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission Approve the third amendment to the agreement with Mark Thomas and Company in the amount of $18,344 to complete additional agreements and deeds to finalize the Right of Way transfer to Caltrans for the I-680/Stoneridge Drive Interchange Project, CIP No. 16506 Second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2208 amending Municipal Code Chapter 9.32 and Title 18 to restrict the sale of flavored tobacco products, electronic smoking devices and related paraphernalia citywide; limit new tobacco sales within 1,000 feet of public schools, parks and recreation facilities; adopt minimum package sizes and pricing for tobacco products Vote: 5-0 Second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2209 to amend Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 9.32 to add a Tobacco Retailer Permit requirement Vote: 4-1 (Councilmember Brown No) Council approved the consent calendar as submitted Public Hearing: Public Hearing: Consider adoption of a resolution to deny applications of Alaina Stewart/Bringhurst, LLC to amend the North Sycamore Specific Plan (NSSP) to modify the land use designation and to re-zone an approximately one-acre portion of the 3.28-acre parcel from Planned Unit Development-Agriculture (PUD-A) to Planned Unit Development— Medium Density Residential (PUD-MDR); thereby to not consider a Planned Unit Development (PUD) rezoning and development plan and Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map to subdivide the existing parcel into five residential lots including four new homes and one existing home, located at 990 Sycamore Road Action recommended: Deny Action taken: Approved, opposing staff recommendation; supported Planning Commission recommendation to approve Vote: 4-1 (Councilmember Testa No) Actions of the City Council Page 1 of 1 August 26, 2020 the City Clerk's Office within 15 days of the Planning Commission's action.
