.W <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-54 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL INITIATE A PUD REZONING OF <br />2500 AND 3320 STANLEY BOULEVARD, SHADOW CLIFFS REGIONAL RECREATION AREA <br />WHEREAS, Glenn Kierstead/California Splash LLC has applied for conditional use permit and design <br />review approvals to expand the existing water park facilities and related improvements at <br />Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area located at 2500 and 3320 Stanley Boulevard; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Public and Institutional (P) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of December 10, 2003, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, East Bay Regional Park District was the lead agency for the project and adopted a <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. PC-2003-53, the Planning Commission denied <br />Case PCUP-63/PDR-243, the application of Glenn Kierstead, California Splash LLC for <br />conditional use permit and design review approvals to expand the existing water park <br />facilities and related improvements at Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area located at <br />2500 and 3320 Stanley Boulevard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the City Council direct staff to initiate a PUD rezoning of 2500 and <br />3320 Stanley Boulevard, the site for the expansion of the existing water park facilities <br />and related improvements, so the project would be subject to a referendum by the <br />citizens of the community. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless <br />appealed prior to that time. <br />
