RESOLUTION NO. 20-1153 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DECLARING THE INTENTION TO ORDER IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE LIGHTING & <br /> LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1984-1 PONDEROSA FOR FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2020/21; DECLARING THE INTENTION TO CONTINUE THE LEVY AND <br /> COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS; AND SETTING THE DATE FOR THE PUBLIC <br /> HEARING <br /> WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways Code, <br /> the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has described proposed improvements to be included <br /> for the determination of annual assessments levied for Lighting and Landscape Maintenance <br /> District No. 1984-1 Ponderosa, created under the Lighting & Landscape Act of 1972, and ordered <br /> the preparation of an Engineer's Report to determine the annual levy of assessments for such <br /> District; and, <br /> WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways Code, <br /> the Engineer has filed with the City Clerk a Preliminary Engineer's Report for the Lighting & <br /> Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1 Ponderosa for Fiscal Year 2020/21. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. SCI Consulting Group, is designated by this Council as the Engineer of <br /> Work for Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1, Ponderosa, during fiscal year <br /> 2020/21. The area of land to be assessed is located in the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council intends to continue to levy and collect assessments within <br /> Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1, Ponderosa, during fiscal year 2020/21. <br /> The area of land to be assessed is located in the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County. <br /> SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are generally <br /> described as follows: <br /> Maintenance of a landscaped strip north of Corte de Flores on the west side of Paseo Santa Cruz <br /> and north of Corte Pacifica on the east side of Paseo Santa Cruz and the landscaped area on the <br /> east side of the Arroyo de la Laguna trail between the Pleasanton Canal and Arroyo del Valle. <br /> SECTION 4. In accordance with this resolution directing the filing of an annual report, <br /> SCI Consulting Group, Engineer of Work, has filed with the City Clerk the report required by the <br /> Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. All interested persons are referred to that report for a full <br /> and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessments upon <br /> assessable lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. <br /> SECTION 5. On Tuesday, the 16th day of June 2020, at the hour of 7:00 pm, the City <br /> Council will conduct a public hearing on the question of the levy of the proposed annual <br /> assessment. The Council meeting will be held remotely in accordance with Governor Gavin <br /> Newsom's Executive Order N-25-20, issued March 12, 2020, and Government Code Section <br /> 54954(e). To improve access to public information, residents may access meetings remotely <br /> through the City's website. <br />
