PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-2003-40 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO MODIFY CHAPTER 18.88 OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-22 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to modify Chapter 18.88 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code pertaining to parking regulations for the Downtown <br />Revitalization District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of September 10, 2003 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are statutorily exempt from the requirements of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 21080.17 of the California <br />Public Resources Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed ordinance amendments will <br />encourage Downtown Pleasanton's economic success by providing incentives to <br />achieve parking objectives and by creating realistic standards to obtain sufficient <br />parking and additional public parking. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-22, the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />modify Chapter 18.88 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code pertaining to parking <br />regulations for the Downtown Revitalization District, as shown on Exhibit "A," <br />attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
