* THE CITY OF <br /> _,,_ PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> _pLEASANTON_ MEETING MINUTES <br /> City Council Chamber <br /> 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br /> DRAFT <br /> Wednesday, March 11, 2020 <br /> CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, AND ROLL CALL <br /> The Planning Commission Meeting of March 11, 2020 was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br /> Chair Ritter. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Balch. <br /> Staff Members Present: Sonal Aggarwal, Contract Planner; Ellen Clark, Director of <br /> Community Development; Melinda Denis, Planning and Permit <br /> Center Manager; Jennifer Hagen, Associate Planner; Julie <br /> Harryman, Assistant City Attorney; Sachiko Riddle, Recording <br /> Secretary <br /> Commissioners Present: Commissioners Nancy Allen, Jack Balch, Justin Brown, Greg <br /> O'Connor, Brandon Pace, Chair Herb Ritter <br /> Commissioners Absent: None <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Community Development Director Ellen Clark provided staff's recommendation to move the <br /> Actions of the City Council and Actions of the Zoning Administrator agenda items under the <br /> Consent Calendar for future agendas, since both agenda items are informational. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR - Consent Calendar items are considered routine and will be enacted by one <br /> motion unless a request for removal for discussion or explanation is received from the Planning <br /> Commission or a member of the public by submitting a speaker card for that item. <br /> 1. Approve the meeting minutes of January 15, 2020 <br /> 2. Approve the meeting minutes of January 22, 2020 <br /> 3. Approve the meeting minutes of February 12, 2020 <br /> 4. P19-0431, Maurice Dissels —Application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to serve <br /> alcohol after 11:00 p.m. at an existing restaurant, Oyo, located at 680 Main Street. Zoning <br /> Planning Commission Minutes Page 1 of 9 March 11, 2020 <br />imony,the applicant will be given the opportunity to respond to issues raised by the public.The <br /> response should be limited to five minutes. <br /> The public hearing will then be closed.The Planning Commissioners then discuss among themselves the application under <br /> consideration and act on the item. Planning Commission actions may be appealed to the City Council.Appeals must be filed <br /> with the City Clerk's Office within 15 days of the Planning Commission's action. <br /> The Planning Commission Chair may enforce other rules as may further the fair and efficient running of the meeting, such as <br /> reducing the amount of testimony time allotted to the applicant and all those who wish to speak when the meeting agenda is <br /> lengthy or when there are numerous speakers for any specific item.
