RESOLUTION NO. 20-1140 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO AWARD <br /> CONTRACTS AND TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DURING THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY <br /> WHEREAS. on March 17, 2020, the City Manager, as the Director of Emergency Services, <br /> proclaimed the existence of a local emergency: and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 23, 2020, the City Council adopted a resolution confirming the City <br /> Manager's proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; and <br /> WHEREAS. the local emergency shall stay in place until its termination is proclaimed by <br /> the City Council and there is a need for certain contracts to be awarded and agreements to be <br /> executed during the local emergency. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1: The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to consider, <br /> approve, and execute contracts and other administrative matters needed for the on-going <br /> operation of the City. <br /> SECTION 2: The City Manager shall report to the City Council all actions taken pursuant <br /> to this Resolution at the next meeting of the City Council and at each meeting of the City Council <br /> that is held until the local emergency has been terminated by the City Council. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a special meeting held on March 23, 2020. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a special meeting held on the 23rd day of March <br /> 2020, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown.
